Tidy Kid in cleaning mode. I clean your kitchen, yes?

Part One:

Saturday the 16th of June. Tidy Kid enters into the red paintings house, early in the morning, and discovers a very very dirty kitchen. He smiles to himself..................

So why be clean? Why not be dirty? Why be anything? Well I am clean, i was brought up as a clean kind of guy, always aligning things, making mirror images, even when i was dealing with dirt or grime, chaos, i would like to order it somewhat. It felt right. When things are dirty, I find it takes my attention away from my thoughts, it grounds me. I like to have a clean slate before starting a new track, or writing about an idea, just now i have cleaned and polished my table, so that i could write this. A very clean room can be likened to an art gallery, where the building is what it is, but allows our human eyes to center our attention mostly on the art hanging or leaning on the walls. I need to see things clearly in my mind, so a clean apartment and a clean head does it for me.

Now in this kitchen, i cleaned under the fridges, cleaned the walls, got rid of lots of old food, polished the table, polished the stove and kitchen sink, and spent 5hrs doing all this. I enjoyed it allot, it was an individual experience, a one off, at least for that particular location. I left with a happy face, and funny enough, I selfishly did it for my own satisfaction, even though the by product was for the satisfaction of the people actually living at that house. My experience worked for me. I don't regret my usage of those 5hrs, I was just being me.............

I'm sure i'll be keen to do another kitchen at some point, so if anyone in a well known band would like their kitchens cleaned, then fill free to email me some photo's, and i'll give it a thought. Oh, i also filmed the experience, and will be using the sounds to create a collaborative track with any other sound artists who are keen to clean a kitchen of their own, and record the process.
